Rob Walpole

Chief Executive Officer

Rob Walpole serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Ascent Global Logistics, a leading provider of time-critical logistics solutions, and brings a proven track record of transforming complex, multinational organizations and delivering sustainable growth and operational excellence.

 

Prior to joining Ascent in October 2025, Rob served as CEO of Custom Goods Logistics, a privately held fulfillment and value-add warehousing company. From 2019 to early 2024, he led Delta Air Lines’ $1B cargo business, guiding the organization through the COVID period and building the organization to industry-leading financial and operational performance. Earlier in his career, Rob held senior leadership roles at DP World as COO of its Global Logistics entity, and at DB Schenker – where he was CEO of the USA company from 2016-2018 and earlier held global leadership roles in the Contract Logistics business.

 

Rob began his career with ExxonMobil and has held leadership roles across North America, Asia-Pacific and Australia. He holds an MBA from Monash University and a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Queensland. Rob also serves on the board of CargoSprint, a supply chain technology company.

Raimar Schmitt

Chief Operations Officer

Raimar Schmitt joined Ascent Global Logistics in December 2023 and serves as Chief Operating Officer, leading the company’s global operations. He is responsible for service execution, operational quality, and advancing initiatives that support growth, diversification, and Ascent’s ability to deliver time-critical logistics solutions for our customers.

 

Raimar brings extensive experience leading complex logistics organizations. Prior to joining Ascent, he spent more than seven years at Rock-It  (formerly Rock-it Cargo) as Chief Operating and Chief Strategy Officer, where he led operational initiatives, growth, and diversification efforts. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Kuehne+Nagel, including serving as Vice President, Contract Logistics and Board Member for Kuehne+Nagel Canada. Raimar holds a BSc and MBA from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany and brings a global perspective shaped by living and working in multiple countries. He is based outside of Boston, MA, where he lives with his wife and three young children.

Jack Korslin

Chief Financial Officer

Jack Korslin joined Ascent Global Logistics as Chief Financial Officer in March 2024. Prior to joining Ascent, Jack served as Chief Financial Officer at Roadrunner Transportation Systems. Arriving at Roadrunner in 2020, Jack was an integral part of the team responsible for reorganizing the Roadrunner portfolio of companies and transforming the LTL freight business from deep financial distress to profitability in under four years. Previously, Jack was Head of M&A at Emergent Cold, helping build the world’s fastest-growing temperature-controlled logistics company from a single operation in Australia to a high-performing platform spanning six countries and four continents. Prior to Emergent Cold, he was a private equity investor at Madison Dearborn Partners. He began his career in investment banking at Barclays.

Daryl Knight

Chief Commercial Officer

Daryl Knight is a highly accomplished logistics and transportation professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry. He currently serves as the Chief Commercial Officer of Ascent Global Logistics, a leading global provider of expedited, time-critical logistics solutions and other direct transportation services. Throughout his career, Daryl has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a strategic mindset with a strong customer-centric focus. As the CCO of Ascent, Daryl leads the company’s sales and commercial support teams, collaborating with an exceptional team of logistics professionals to drive growth and deliver outstanding value to its customers.  

 

Prior to joining Ascent in June 2025, Daryl served as Chief Commercial Officer at ProTrans, and before that, held leadership positions at Purolator and DHL Supply Chain.

Anthony Decanti

Chief Technology Officer

Anthony DeCanti joined Ascent as Chief Technology Officer in April 2024, where he leads the company’s technology strategy, digital transformation efforts and enterprise innovation initiatives. He focuses on aligning technology with business priorities to support operational execution, visibility and the continued evolution of Ascent’s global platform.

 

Anthony brings decades of experience leading technology and operations across the transportation and logistics sector. Prior to joining Ascent, he served as Chief Information Officer at Republic Services, a $15 billion organization, where he led a global IT organization of more than 700 professionals. Earlier in his career, he held CIO and COO roles at UniGroup and served as CIO at Werner Enterprises. He began his logistics career in 1990 as a terminal manager at Skyway Freight Systems. Anthony is based in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Tiffany Hutchens

Chief People Officer & General Counsel

Tiffany Hutchens is General Counsel and Chief People Officer, overseeing enterprise legal strategy, corporate governance, compliance, and ethics while leading the company’s people strategy across talent, culture, and total rewards. She partners closely with Ascent’s executive team to align business goals and people programs, enabling high‑performance teams and sustainable growth. Known for pragmatic counsel and a people‑centered approach, Tiffany brings cross‑functional leadership that balances strategic risk with operational clarity. Her experience spans commercial transactions, employment matters, and organizational transformation. Tiffany is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she resides with her husband and two young girls.

John Heaney

President, USA Jet Airlines

John Heaney serves as the President and Accountable Executive of USA Jet Airlines, Inc.  John has over 40 years of operational oversight and regulatory compliance experience in the aviation industry.  This includes scheduled, public and private charter passenger operations (121, 135 & 125) and on-demand cargo operations in both the domestic and international arenas. Through the years he has expanded operations to achieve profitable growth, built verticals and reduced operational vulnerabilities. He has worked closely with various regulators and industry associations to develop executable solutions to solve complex regulatory issues affecting air carrier operations.

Enrique Valera Holthus

Country General Manager, Mexico

Enrique Valera Holthus joined Ascent Global Logistics in October 2025 and serves as Country General Manager for Mexico. He brings extensive leadership experience across logistics and supply chain operations throughout Latin America and supports Ascent’s continued growth in Mexico, where the company has operated since 2011.

 

Prior to joining Ascent, Enrique served as CEO of TIBA México and spent many years with DB Schenker, holding senior leadership roles including CEO of Schenker Mexico and Managing Director of Schenker Argentina. His career is marked by building and scaling organizations, strengthening cross-border networks, and supporting growth across forwarding and truckload import and export operations. At Ascent, he leads efforts that reinforce the company’s position as a premier provider of time-critical logistics solutions in the Mexican market.

 

Enrique is based in Mexico, Aguascalientes and Mexico City, and brings a deep understanding of the region’s logistics landscape and cross-border trade environment.

Connor Denney

SVP, Corporate Strategy

Connor Denney joined Ascent in 2021 and serves as Senior Vice President, Strategy. Connor leads corporate strategy efforts for Ascent, partnering closely with the executive leadership team to develop and execute Ascent’s vision and driving key initiatives across Ascent’s entire organization. Connor also leads Ascent’s corporate development and M&A efforts. Prior to joining Ascent, Connor was a private equity investor at H.I.G. Capital.
